Prayer Wall - Post to Wall without Sending an Email Alert

CAA Product Help

(HELP ?) Circles provide narratives on Training, Explanations, and Hints. These can be related to the overall screen, or to specific items on the screen.

This (HELP ?) Circle narrative is for the "ADD POST" Screen or the Display Panel in MemberLink for the "PRAYER WALL" Tab.

Before you click the [FINALIZE AND POST] Button, you can instruct the system to NOT send out an "alert message". There is a Checkbox for this purpose, labeled "DO NOT EMAIL, POST TO WALL ONLY".

If you do this, by clicking on the associated Checkbox to turn it "ON", the email "alert message" will suppressed and not sent out when you click the [FINALIZE AND POST] Button.

Explanation:

If you leave this box unchecked, the system will send an email "alert message" to everyone except the following:

- Those who have opted out of receiving the alert

- Those who are "Banned" from receiving it (by the Administrators)

The "alert message" will include the text of your post, so that the recipients will be able to read it without needing to login and come to the Prayer Wall. If they want to reply, they will have to login through the Member Portal and visit the Prayer Wall so they can respond.

If you do not want these people to get an email "alert message" from you that alerts them to your prayer wall posting, click on the Checkbox to turn it on "? and the email alerts will be suppressed. Your church members will not know about your Prayer Wall posting unless or until they login through the Member Portal and visit the Prayer Wall.
